The Persian cat went blind from growing up in a filthy cage and finally got the love it most wanted.

Moet, the lovely white Persian cat, had a challenging start to his life but has become an advocate for homeless kittens after losing his sight due to an infectious condition.

Born on an illegal farm where animal welfare was neglected, Moet faced a tough situation. He was later moved to a pet store where his conditions worsened, confined to a cramped cage in filth. As a young cat, this posed significant risks.

Moet started showing signs of cat flu, but unfortunately, nobody seemed interested in helping him. Luckily, the Omani Paws rescuers stepped in and rushed him to the doctor. They discovered that his health condition was critical.

Emily Shotter, completely smitten with the cuddly furry, didn’t hesitate to welcome him into her home. Emily took charge of providing all the care the blind kitten needed.

Due to irreversible eye damage, the only option to save Moet was to remove his eyes entirely. Though he would be blind, he would live and experience the love of a family.

Just a few weeks after his operation, Moet met the woman who would become his adoptive mother. Now, not only is he safe and sound, but he has also become a network personality.

“Moet has a wicked sense of humor. He despises boredom and won’t hesitate to squeal to get other people’s attention,” Emily joked.

Shotter started uploading photos of Moet, gaining thousands of followers in a matter of months. They decided to seize the opportunity to raise awareness about the numerous challenges that animals face on Oman’s streets.

Since there is currently no law in Oman specifically covering cats and dogs, the horrifying experiences poor Mσet went through are theoretically permissible.

“There are certain rules, but they only apply to agricultural animals, not pets.” The group’s work will not cease, and they will continue to assist the animals.

Moet even wrote a book with the support of his humans to teach people how to care for their dogs. Additionally, he releases a new calendar with his best images every year.

Most importantly, all profits generated from Moet merchandise are directly donated to the foundation. Moet is a fantastic advocate who has successfully raised donations for the charity that saved his life.
