Don’t prick your nose! Lion cub gets a porcupine’s quill stuck up its nostril after trying to eat it (but there’s a much worse ending for the porcupine when the cat’s dad turns up…)

In the animal kingdom, predators often face challenges when hunting prey. In a recent incident, a lion cub discovered the hard way that prey can sometimes fight back.

The young were hunting when they came across a hedgehog. Without hesitation, the lion cub tried to swallow the thorny creature. However, in the process, it was accidentally inserted in the nostril with a brush.

The cub’s discomfort was evident when it picked its nose and sneezed repeatedly, trying to dislodge the porcupine feather. Despite its efforts, the quill still stuck, causing the lion cub to considerable discomfort.

But the story doesn’t end there. As fate arranged, the lion parent appeared, seeking revenge for its cub. The lions surrounded the hedgehog and attacked it fiercely

When the lion father arrived at the scene, he quickly realized the danger his cub was in. Acting quickly, the old lion brought down the angry hedgehog, ending the confrontation.

The ordeal of the lion cub serves as a reminder that even the most ferocious predators are not invincible and that even the tiniest creatures can throw a punch. It is important for animals to approach their prey with caution and respect, lest they fall victim to unexpected dangers.

For the hedgehog, though unfortunately met with a tragic end, its courageous attempt to save its life is a testament to the fierce survival instincts in the animal kingdom.
