My Surreal Illustrations Portray The Relationship Between Humans And Nature
As a Polish graphic designer, illustrator, and set designer, I have always been fascinated by the intricate relationship between humans and nature. Through my mixed media graphic art, which combines photo manipulation, drawing, and even 3D techniques, I strive to depict this unique connection in surreal and thought-provoking ways.

My journey in the world of art began when I graduated with honors from the Interior Architecture and Industrial Design Faculty at the State Higher School of Fine Art in PoznaĆ, which is now known as the University of Arts. It was during this time that I honed my skills and developed a keen eye for design and aesthetics.

In the late 80’s and early 90’s, I had the privilege of working for the public broadcasting company Polish Television. There, I had the opportunity to create set designs for various TV theatre productions, cultural programs, and commentary shows. This experience allowed me to understand the power of visual storytelling and how it can captivate an audience.

However, it was my passion for illustrating the intricate relationship between humans and nature that truly drove me to explore new artistic avenues. Through my work, I aim to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our natural environment and the consequences of our actions on the planet.

My surreal illustrations often feature elements of nature seamlessly intertwined with human figures or man-made structures. By merging these contrasting elements, I aim to evoke a sense of harmony or discord, depending on the message I wish to convey. The juxtaposition of the natural and the artificial serves as a visual metaphor for the delicate balance between humans and the environment.

In some of my illustrations, I depict humans as part of nature, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding landscape. This conveys the idea that we are not separate from nature but rather an integral part of it. By highlighting our interconnectedness, I hope to encourage a deeper appreciation and respect for the natural world.

On the other hand, some of my artworks explore the consequences of human actions on the environment. I often depict surreal and dystopian landscapes, where nature appears distorted, damaged, or overwhelmed by human intervention. These illustrations serve as a cautionary tale, reminding viewers of the importance of sustainable practices and the need to protect and restore our planet.

Through my surreal illustrations, I strive to ignite a sense of wonder, introspection, and perhaps even a call to action. Art has the power to transcend language and culture, and I believe that by visually portraying the relationship between humans and nature, I can inspire others to reconsider their role in the world and the impact they have on the environment.
